Addictions
We treat addictions mainly with homeopathy or
acupuncture, although herbs can be very useful too. Hypnotherapy and
NLP can also be enormously helpful. But from the physical side of things,
frequent acupuncture can be very powerful, helping both the craving
and the withdrawal symptoms.
The kind of acupuncture we use depends on the situation. For many, ear acupuncture
is all they need, but sometimes more powerful treatment can be given using points
on the body, legs and arms. In severe cases, people need treatment daily, sometimes
several times a day, and for this a drop-in centre is often best. For others,
they need to come once or twice weekly to start with, reducing the frequency
as they improve.
But the patient has got to come for treatment, often frequently, so may need
help and support at home or from other agencies.
Concerning Smokers:
If
you sincerely want to stop smoking, are in good health and not taking
any medication, you can often stop smoking after one session of acupuncture:
this happens in about 80% such cases. If you are taking medications
for underlying disease, then we may need to treat you to get you stronger
so that you can more easily stop smoking, and you may need a number
of treatments for this. If you are like most people, you will gradually
feel fitter and stopping smoking will become easier for you. But we
may also need to talk to you about your diet and other factors that
can help you kick the habit.
Kinds of addiction of which we have most experience:
- Smoking
- Alcohol

If you have an addiction, there are many websites

If you come across a site dedicated to addictions
which you think we should include, do contact us!
Detoxification
We have considerable experience in helping people ‘detox’ their bodies,
and can often reduce the discomfort.
Detox Hidden Agenda
You can find more about
the hidden agenda your body is following by having a QXCI session.

Detox Self-Help
If you would like to help
yourself, there is a detox method which is worth trying and which suits
most people. This uses patches on the soles of your feet whilst you sleep
to gently clear out the toxins. You can see whether it’s been effective
by looking at the patches in the morning.
To find out more, go to www.ethosworld.com/lookgood .
Click on ‘Product Menu’, then on ‘Ethos Detoxification’ and
you can read about and buy the patches from there. If you pay £10
to join first, you get them cheaper. Do this by clicking on ‘Join
Ethos Now’, then once you have joined you can order any of their
products at the wholesale price. They sell some other good products too.
Remember, however, that whenever you want to detox yourself, stop
putting garbage in! Stop eating junk food, pre-prepared food,
highly-spiced food, deep-fried food, alcohol, sweets, sugar, puddings,
rich food, and only eat food that is raw or lightly cooked. And Drink Plenty
of WATER, Eat PLENTY of FRUIT (a
broad range of fruit, not just one kind) and PLENTY of VEGETABLES and SALADS.
For a longer term improvement in your health, take Juice Plus. Read about
all the independent, peer-reviewed and published and ongoing research on
it at www.juiceplus.co.uk where
you can also buy it.
